Photo guidelines
Good photos are the difference between a profile people trust and one they scroll past. Every photo you upload — public or private album — must follow these rules.
What we require
- Recent. Taken within the last couple of years and a fair representation of how you look now.
- Clearly you. Your face should be visible and unobstructed in at least your primary photo — no sunglasses, heavy filters, or photos taken from too far away to recognise you.
- A photo of yourself, not a stock image, a celebrity, or artwork.
What's not allowed
- Nudity or sexually explicit content, in any photo, public or private.
- Photos including anyone other than you — crop or choose a different photo if someone else is in frame.
- Contact details, social handles, or watermarks from another site overlaid on the photo.
- Screenshots, memes, or images that aren't genuine photos of you.
Public vs. private album
Your public photos are visible to other members (and blurred to non-members). Your private album is only visible to members you've individually approved — the same rules apply to both, but the private album is the place for anything you'd rather not share publicly.
How verification works
Photo verification compares your submitted verification photo against your profile photos to confirm they're the same person — it's reviewed by our team, not shared publicly, and used only to award the verified badge. Every upload also passes through automated checks for duplicates and EXIF data, which is stripped before the photo is stored.
A photo that doesn't meet these guidelines will be rejected with a reason, and you can re-upload. Repeated violations — especially explicit content or photos of other people — can result in account restrictions. See our community guidelines for everything else.
